Jenny Lloyd knows the emotional highs and lows of IVF treatment. Rather than becoming lost in defeat, she has written an honest, raw and poignant account of her own experience of IVF, in the hopes that it will help others going through their own journeys. It has also given her an outlet with which to process her own unique journey.
This book is a must read for anyone who is going through IVF, their families, friends and loved ones, and a wonderful account of one woman’s experience through the highs, lows and heartbreaks. This is a tearjerker that’ll have you reaching for the tissues one minute, and laughing the next!
Jenny Lloyd is a business owner and writer, and has drawn on her own experiences to tell a raw personal journey and sometimes bleakly funny story on a subject that is not often discussed outwardly. Not only does she successfully run her own company, Lloyd Connect, but along with her sister, she co-founded Helping Hand Helping Hearts. Among other initiatives, the charitable organisation assists children in Vietnam to receive life-saving heart surgery, as well as funding a shelter for pregnant mothers and helping to support a charity school.
Just finished your book. Was in between laughter and tears the entire time. Mostly tears.
You are an incredible, beautiful young lady and team.
Know that you not have only been a great support, but your heart wrenching journey has definitely helped me. You helped me make the decision to go through the freeze process (now considered a medical freeze).
I am so grateful. Xx
Hey lovely, love love loved your book! Putting your experience our there for the world to read in a frank and honest way is such a courageous thing to do to try to help other couples going through IVF. You and Dave are an absolute inspiration to both of us and we wish
that you had had a better outcome.
Will definitely take some tips from your book when we start that process one
day. Thanks for sharing and hope that you’re doing well.
Lots of love to you both
I finally got to read your amazing book over the weekend! So incredibly well written, heart breaking…you of all people I know don’t deserve this, both of you; but so impressed of how you have managed to find the humorous side in such a horrendous journey that no one deserves to ride! Though I have not had the ivf journey (yet) I certainly could relate to the experience of being older, without child and navigating friendships and their opinions, whilst it seems everyone is enjoying creating their own little families. Love you so much and am so blessed to know such a wonderful person that gives as much as you do. Congratulations on a fabulous read beautiful lady!
